I was born and raised in Southern Ontario on a farm. I am the middle child with 3 older sisters and 3 younger brothers and learned at an early age how to get along in a crowd! When I was 18 I migrated to the West Coast with my two year old daughter and ended up in beautiful Victoria. I have raised my daughter and son here and am enjoying being close to their families in such a beautiful part of the world.
Prior to my grandson losing his fight with Cystic Fibrosis and other issues I was a recipient of various Community assistance programs and know how important they were to us. Being part of Phoenix is part of my giving back plan as an expression of gratitude. I am also on the board of Help Fill A Dream charity and am volunteering to teach sewing to incarcerated members of our society.
My work is presently as Manager of Human Resources and Environmental Health and Safety for a Waste Management company.
