Community Living Services for Adults is one of the many support services provided by Phoenix. All service is funded through Community Living BC (CLBC). Individualized services are customized to meet the personal goals of the individuals served. We work with individuals on a one-to-one basis to help them increase independence, develop new skills, and maximize their potential.
Social and Activity Groups
Dinner and Social Groups offer participants the opportunity to learn life skills and extend their social network. While cooking skills are important, and household tasks are essential – we know it’s the friendships that make some of these our longest-running groups. Our range of groups is growing every year. We strive to meet the interests and demands of the people we support. Have an idea? Let us know.
Community Inclusion Programs
Phoenix’s Community Inclusion Programs offer individuals with developmental disabilities the opportunity to be involved in community-based programs that support them to achieve their personal goals. Supports provided by the programs include many areas such as opportunities for community access, life skills development, communication skills, behavioral support, increased independence, and a focus on supporting individuals to build social connections.
Supported Employment is one of several programs at Phoenix. In all of our Community Inclusion Programs, our goal is to enhance the lives of adults who are living with a developmental disability by supporting them to have full inclusion in their community. We know that employment is one way for people to improve their lives, learn new skills, and participate more fully in their communities. Employment also creates meaningful relationships and increases financial independence.
To access Phoenix services, you must be eligible and approved for service through CLBC. They can be reached at 250-952-4203. Once approved CLBC will make a referral to Phoenix for services.
