Donna completed the Community Support Worker Program straight out of high school, clearly knowing that she wanted to support individuals with developmental disabilities. Her career began working in a residential home for adults with developmental disabilities before joining our agency as a frontline Community Support Worker for 5 years in the Adult Day Programs and then stepping into the role of Program Coordinator of the programs in 2003. Donna is thankful that she is still following this path almost 20 years later and for exactly the same reason that brought her to this work. She is also fortunate for getting as much as she gives and for the amazing people that surround her. On a more personal note, Donna shares the other hours of her day with her better half and 2 children making memories and ‘living the life’ otherwise known as making lunches, laundry, picking up toys…..
