Phoenix Human Services Association was incorporated in 2006 as a not-for-profit society and became a registered charity in 2010. Although Phoenix itself is relatively young as an organization, its humble beginnings actually date back to 1985 when it operated as a for-profit agency. It was with the agreement of the former owner and his family that we were able to create Phoenix.
We are a five time CARF-accredited agency offering a broad range of child, youth and family services including family preservation, mental health outreach, supervised access, intensive parenting support, individual and group supports for children and youth with special needs and services to youth in and out of government care.
We also offer a host of services for persons with developmental disabilities including community-based, community inclusion programs, individual and group support for persons living independently, group support for persons living with caregivers but wishing to increase their independence and engagement in the community, individualized services for persons with high support needs and supported employment services.
Our staff are recognized throughout the community for their skill, compassion and integrity. At Phoenix, we strive to make a difference in the lives of our community members. We accomplish this through the exceptional support that we provide for the persons that we serve, through our open and giving partnerships with the many service organizations that we work with and through our accountability to our funders.
